Removing the Chassis

With the body & chassis separated, a trestle arrangment was made to support the body. The front end was lifted first on to the trestle. The trestle was quite secure but the beam was supported by a couple of light ratchet straps to the shed roof beam for extra security:


Then the back end could be lifted and the rear trestle slipped underneath supporting the body where it attaches to the chassis:


Now the chassis could be wheeled out. The rear wheels were still in position but the front beam was removed, so the front of the chassis was supported by a trolley:
